I am TEFL certified to teach English to speakers of other languages from the International Teachers Training Organization. I was a substitute teacher at IMAC in Guadalajara, Mexico. Due to my previous 25 year career as a primary care physician, I bring a unique perspective to the field of language education. My transition into teaching English is driven by a passion for helping others communicate effectively and a desire to provide students with the tools they need to succeed in a globalized world. I also have a special interest in teaching English to medical professionals.
I am a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with 10 years experience working with students who have receptive and expressive language needs. In addition, I am TEFL certified through the International Teachers Training Organization to teach English as a second and foreign language. I also spent 15 years working in the film industry, during which time I became interested in accent differences. I am now certified as an Accent Modification coach, offering additional training to students who wish to enhance their pronunciation and intelligibility for either personal or professional reasons.
